Promoting Your Healthy Journey AND Preventing Wrinkles Can Co-Exist

Do you choose preventing wrinkles over promoting a healthier you?  Let’s be real.  No one wants to age badly.  So we use creams and other “anti-aging” products to help stave off or even prevent wrinkles.  But are you really promoting your health by using some of these products?  Let’s learn what the folks at Natural Living Family have discovered.

Skin Care Promotes Health

Dr. Z did!  According to this article from Natural Living Family (NLF), there are good and bad products in cosmetics manufactured in the United States.  Of course,  you want to look for the good things in the products you use.  Here’s what to look for:Preventing Wrinkles over Promoting Health

  1. Retinoids
  2. Vitamin C
  3. Niacinamide
  4. Vitamin E
  5. CBD or Cannabinoids

Four of these ingredients are derivatives of vitamins.  For instance, Retinoids are derived from Vitamin A.  This is the same vitamin present in carrots and other orange and yellow vegetables and fruits.  Niacinamide is derived from Vitamin D, which has a host of healthy benefits.  Vitamin C helps to boost collagen production in your body.  Scientists are finding that applying CBD to the skin can help hydrate your skin, regulate oil production and reduce inflammation.

Buyer Beware!

Just as there are good things the cosmetics you use, there may be bad things, too.  In fact, Natural Living Family noted many hazardous chemicals routinely found in cosmetics.  These include pesticides, synthetic colors and fragrances.  Also, Natural Living Family discovered 12 known carcinogens present in cosmetics and similar products.  Included in that list is formaldehyde.  I bet you thought you left THAT smell behind in junior high school biology class!
