MIssionFiT Continues To Adventure Around Athens In 80 Days!
There are many country teams participating in MissionFiT’s “Adventure To Athens” Summer Challenge. So it seems like every corner of the globe is walking around Athens in 80 days!
Where Have They Been Around Athens In 80 Days?
Remember the 1956 film Around The World In 80 Days? Phineas Fogg and his companion, Jean Passpartout, bet they can travel around the world in 80 days in a hot air balloon. Thankfully, none of MissionFiT’s traveling teams need to use a hot air balloon to “walk, hike or bike ” through Greece! Even so, let’s briefly visit another interesting stop along the way:
Meteora

As the name suggests, Meteora is a “lofty” and “elevated” place. In fact, Meteora is a rock formation in central Greece, near the Plain of Thessaly and the town of Kalabaka. Meteora is also home to a group of Eastern Orthodox monasteries perched high atop these rock formations made from stone, sand and mud from local streams.
